Hi, everyone! It is the end of the week so i am here to analyse the poll result again. The question of this week poll is "What will you do when Online Banking?" The result is shown at the following. There is 38% of the voters who will check for enquiry when they Online Banking. Followed by 37% of the voters will make payment online. Third, 13% of the voters chose prepaid service when they Online Banking. Lastly, voters who make fund transfer online are only 12%.

Nowadays people can check their account enquiry, make payment, prepaid service, fund transfer online instead of going to particular bank. Different banks offer different services online. The answer of the poll question are the common services that provided by most of the bank such as Maybank, Public Bank, Cimb bank, RHB Bank and so on. The most common advantages of Online Banking are save time and save energy. Users no need to step out of home to do the banking services. It save time and energy instead of finding parking slot and queuing for the machine or sometimes users have to wait for the receptionist to serve them.

Hello, it's time to analyse the poll result of week 7.

The poll question of this week is "Have you ever tried online banking?" The result of the poll is 8 votes which is 57% who never try Online Banking before. Following by 6 votes which is 43% who have tried Online Banking.

Although majority of the bank are promoting their Online Banking Service, yet most of the users still using the conventional ways to do their stuff at bank. The example of Online Banking Service are Cimb Click, Maybank2u, RHB Online and so on. I think most of the users are worring about the security of phising scams so they rather do in conventional ways. How you guys think about it?

Online Banking

Online banking is one of the online payment methods. Online banking also known as internet banking. Nowadays, people would rather stay at home to manage their financial transaction than step out to bank and queue up for banking. Online banking is a secure website that allowed people to manage their financial transaction such as pay bills. Who is operating the websites? Most of the banks in Malaysia do have this facility. Today, I will discuss the most common online banking site-Maybank2u.com.

First of all, how to login? Well, you must have a Maybank account. Then, go to http://www.maybank2u.com.my/. You will see "Login" on the top left of the site.

Next, you will be directed to login page. Key in your username and password and click Login.

After that, the page will be automatically directed to your online financial service home page.

There are some tips for you to keep you safe in online banking.

-Never login via email links

-Never tell your password to anyone

-Remember to log out everytime after you finished banking

-Clear your cache after each session

Be ALERT! A phishing website may confusing you the real and fake website. Then, you will key in your infomation as usual if you don't realize the fraud. This is one of the way the hacker steal your information. A secure website address will start with the HTTPS.

Among these payment methods, credit card and PayPal are the most common payment methods that normally use by online shoppers. However, some online shoppers may ask questions such as: Is one method better than the other? Which payment method is easiest? Which way is the most secure and reliable? Well, different people has different definition. Some people said that PayPal is the safer and easier way to pay online because it pay without exposing online shopper's financial information. Some said that credit card is the most secure way of paying because it has credit limit and 3D-Secure, which designed to combat online credit card fraud. In my opinion, I think internet banking is a safety way to make payment. You will be given a PIN number and this PIN number must be entered every time you log on to your bank website. Besides, the bank website will terminate your session when there is no activity within a preset time to against unauthorized user.
